Review: Nickelodeon TMNT "New Friend, Old Enemy

The Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series has went well with the first three episodes giving us the feel of the world and characters.  Though as many has noticed, the Foot has not fought or seen the Turtles face to face.  With only one small look at them, fans have been itching to see them battle.  The fourth episode aired this last Saturday granting that wish from the fans, as the Foot has now started to make their move.  Can the Turtles handle themselves in their first battle with the Foot?  And will Nickelodeon bring the strong Ninja action that fans are hoping to see?  Those were the questions coming into this episode, now we can answer our thoughts and look back to “New Friend, Old Enemy”

Review: Turtle Temper Nickelodeon TMNT ep 3

The new Nickelodeon series has been a hot subject as of lately.  I’ve been going around hearing lots of people talk about the series and how they saw the first hour episode last week.  How the Turtles found out about pizza, the changes in their looks, and just the overall feel of the new series.  So far, the feedback has been positive for Nickelodeon as people are willing to keep going forward to see where the show is headed.  This week we deal with Raphael’s temper, an issue brought up in a handful of different Turtle medias, including in issue 14 of the IDW comics which just came out last month.  Is Raph’s temper so bad the other Turtles don’t want him around?

Review: Nickelodeon TMNT Theme

When I first heard of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the cartoon was already on the market. So right away I was introduced to a theme song for the TMNT. I loved the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme, and to this day it remains my favorite version of any Ninja Turtle theme song. Every song since then I had to get use to. The Next Mutation theme is my second favorite, even though it’s sort of rap, it was short and easy to learn. I never got into the remixed versions of the original theme song. The 4Kids themes were good, but still took awhile to learn and was nowhere near as catchy as the original theme. So what of the new Nickelodeon theme song? Have you heard it? If not check it out:

Review: Nickelodeon TMNT Website

In 2009, the news of the sale of Ninja Turtles to Viacom also meant that ninjaturtles.com would no longer be ran by Mirage Studios.  The website soon had an image showing that the new site was to be launched in 2011, as we watched a lot of the areas disappear from the website that we all knew and loved.  Though some cool areas remained, like the history of the old TV series and movies.  We waited for the new site.  But 2011 came and went with no new changes.  Finally, June 2012 the website changes, but is this change for the better?

First TMNT Trailer from Nickelodeon!

We’ve been waiting to say this! A new TMNT Trailer is up! This is the second time Nickelodeon has released a video to the fans, but this time it is not a Mutation in Progress video, this is the real deal! A trailer for the new cartoon. Finally, a chance for everyone to hear the new Turtle voices! So before we get into the details... watch this new trailer.

Now that you’ve seen the trailer, here’s my review. This is a teaser trailer, only giving us samples of the Turtles voices, fast flashes of scenes, bits of animation, and no idea on where the story is going. We see the comedy side of the show in this clip as they use a lot of Michelangelo. So I’ll start with Michelangelo.

Dark Shadows DVD Set

For the last 8months I’ve been getting to watch a lot of an old 1960s soap opera called “Dark Shadows”, about a vampire and his family.  The series started in 1966 and lasted into the 70s.  There was even a remake of the series in the 1990s.  And now, Tim Burton is doing a movie based on this series.  I’m really excited about the movie, and trying to watch as much as I can of the original series.

American Horror Story: Television Review

October always seems to be the month to release horror stories on both the big screen and the small screen. Last year, Walking Dead was released to AMC and devastated the competition, becoming a very successful television series for last year and being highly anticipated for this year. Another highly anticipated television series is The American Horror Story on the FX Network.

When I saw the first trailer for this television series, my interest was peaked. I’m all about paranormal phenomena, haunted houses, and the story of the people dealing with the strangeness. I was eagerly awaiting the new show, with high hopes. Fortunately, those hopes were not completely dashed.

Attending the Tonight Show Review

Ever want to go to a live taping of a talk show?  Well for me, I’ve thought about it a few times, though it’s not one of those things I’ve ever gone out of my way to do.  I would if it included Ninja Turtles, but I never had that chance as they were always out of state back in the day when the Turtles did appear on shows such as Oprah.
