Kodak Moment #88

I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life.  A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen.  This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own.  I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo.  If it’s a part of events that has been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Today’s photo is from the Ferndale High 1988 Oliver Twist Musical.

When Ferndale High announced auditions for “Oliver Twist” we got excited as that was a musical that most of the family enjoyed for a long time before this.  We all tried out for the play, oh was I jealous that Miki and Bryan were both chosen to take part in the play.  They did not get leading roles as that was for the high schoolers, but were in the background for many scenes through the play.  I would go to rehearsal with  them and watch as they were on stage.  Learning all the songs and just wishing I too was on stage.

In this photo we have their Bill, Nancy, Fagin and Dodger with some of the extras in the background.  This is a fond memory for me as I loved going and watching them rehearse and got to enjoy each performance they put on at the High School.

Was you or your family involved with your local high school plays?  Please share thoughts, comments and questions below.
