Kodak Moments #67

I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life.  A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen.  This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own.  I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo.  If it’s a part of events that has been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Today’s photo is from the set of the Ghoul Show.

This is the Ghoul and Bob Cummings on the set of the Ghoul Show in the 1980’s.  My dad worked on the Ghoul show, so I’m always happy to share things from when he worked on the show.  In this picture my dad made the head and hands of the costume that Bob is wearing.  My dad also designed the set.  They’re filming at a place called Sports View.

My dad has been making costumes since the 1970’s, and always made our Halloween costumes when we were kids.  I love sharing what he can do.  The Ghoul was a show that was mainly shown in Ohio and Michigan, though I’ve met people all the way in California who know of the Ghoul Show.  It was a fun late night horror host series.  My dad appeared, made cartoons and was the art director for the Ghoul Show in the 70’s and 80’s.

Have you ever seen the Ghoul Show?  What do you think of the costume Bob is wearing?  Please share thoughts, comments and questions below!
