Random Collection #34

Throughout the years of being a Ninja Turtle fan, my collection has been growing.  Every year I get something new that joins the collection.  Growing since 1989, I have over 500 Ninja Turtle toys out of package and over 300 in package, as well as books, animation cels, original comic art, scripts and so much more.  To cover all of this on Cowabunga Corner is not something I really think I can do.  Though I get a lot of questions about my collection, so I figured I could do random stories from time to time to share one item in my collection.  This one is about my 4Kids Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pencil box.

This is a very cool pencil box made with the 4Kids Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles upon it. It was not made for the United States so not something found easy for US fans.  For me it was a gift from a friend.  It’s got an action pose of the Turtles on the top, opens up with two shelves.  Holds pencils, pens, sharpies, and even erasers.  And on the bottom I have kept business cards.  It’s tin so it can be bent if abused.  Though other wise holds up really well.  Inside it has the colors of each of the Turtles skins with their masks and names in each color.  While the bottom has an image of Leonardo with his arms crossed and a faded image of the other three Turtles in an action pose.  Truly an awesome piece in the collection.

This pencil tin was made by Playworks International back in 2003.  It looks really cool and is great to use at computer desks or night stands.  I’ve brought it on a few trips to help keep things in order, though usually keep it home so that it is not damaged.  There is a slight bind now in the bottom of the tin, from traveling around.

Do you have this TMNT Pencil tin?  Where’d you find it?  Do you like it?  Please share reviews, comments and questions below.
