Random Collection piece #14

Throughout the years of being a Ninja Turtle fan, my collection has been growing.  Every year I get something new that joins the collection.  Growing since 1989, I have over 500 Ninja Turtle toys out of package and over 300 in package, as well as books, animation cels, original comic art, scripts and so much more.  To cover all of this on Cowabunga Corner is not something I really think I can do.  Though I get a lot of questions about my collection, so I figured I could do random stories weekly to share one item in my collection.

This set of Turtle toys is one of my favorite little mini set of TMNT toys.  These were sold in plastic shells, you could not tell who you were getting.  Inside the shell was a toy and a little bag of candy.  Based on the 4Kids Turtles, these awesome little toys.  Of course they’re not meant to have action scenes and moveable parts.  But they’re great for display which is what I normally use them for.

These toys did not come out in the United States.  If I recall correctly these were from Italy.  I wish that the United States got these as well.  I have the one set.  I like collecting odds and ins like these.  Not something you’ll see everyday, but still very fun to have around.  And I truly did enjoy the 4Kids series, so this little set is another nod to that series in my collection.

Have you seen these little Turtles before?  If so where?  Do you own a set?  Share your story of how and where you got them.  Please remember all reviews, comments and questions are welcomed below.
