Review: Interactive TMNT Talking Figures!

Toys have always been advancing and doing different things.  One of those things that I enjoyed as a kid and still enjoy today is when they can interact.  As a child I was impressed with Teddy Ruxpin, as I had to get all the toys around him to see him talk and interact.  True his face moved, but he had to be attached to stuff and had a tape put inside of him.  That was the 80’s, now toys just know when they’re near the other toys.  Like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Toys I review here Interactive Talking, Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael and Leonardo.

These toys are so entertaining.  They talk to each other just by pressing the buttons on their shells.  They can be standing next to each other, without facing each other.  They say lines that are in the show, and lines that are not in the series.  They have different introduction for the same thing, like Metalhead.  They got sound effects for eating and when Shredder is around.  And you could get more than one line a character depending the topic they choose to talk about.

These toys are fun, their large, and they work.  They got their weapons, they got new gear on them including shell cells on their belts.  And They have details to them, like Donatello’s gap tooth.  All four Turtles are on the market.  The worse part is how Donatello is sold, you can only get him in a two set.  All the others you can buy on their own.  This is sad for Donatello fans, though there is a reason about it that only us fans can fix.

Donatello is the Turtle toy that sells the less.  So much in fact that some series of the new TMNT toy line is not having him as part of the series!  That’s right, we could lose out on Donatello toys, because of the sales.  The fault of not helping pick up the products of Donatello, is making Donny fans lose in the big picture.  If you’re a Donny fan you have to let the studios know by supporting the product!  Help Donatello stay in the toy line and spread the word, buy Donny!

One more thing that is missing.  Most of the Turtles have these wrist bands that snap onto their right wrist.  Though Donatello did not come with one.  This is not as big of a deal since it’s not a part of their normal wear, it just shows Donny not getting the same love as the other three in the toy line itself.  Not saying Donatello is a bad toy here, as they have his mouth open.  He’s got a cool moving head piece.  His bo staff snaps onto his belt.  He’s the tallest in this toy line.  And he sounds just as awesome as the other three.

Anytime I’ve picked up these toys I’ve found myself starting to press the button and listen to what they have to say.  It has become a longer distraction than I would think, as I enjoy hearing what they have to say to each other.  It’s funny, the more Turtles you have the better it gets!  All four together is my favorite way to listen to them.  I highly recommend these for any fans of the Nickelodeon TMNT series!
