Review: Turflytle & Baxter Fly Toys

Often toy companies make more than one version of a character, if their toys are doing well.  Be it a toy in fighting mode, a toy dressed for space or a toy with some sort of new function.  Not to different from the Mutation line, Half Shell Heroes all compared to the regular toy line for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  I don’t always get excited when it’s just a different version of characters I already own, though this time I will admit I was excited to do a review of two new toys which fall into the regular toy line.  Here is my review of Turflytle and Fly Baxter Stockman.

Baxter Stockman here has to be one of my favorite Baxter toys.  The character was released because of his design change with his mutation.  If only we got the human look for Baxter in between this and him with his robot bot suite.  Always wanted a human toy.  In the video I explain why I really like this toy.

Turflytle is a toy I got really excited about.  I love the character in the show, cause it reminds me of him being the Turtle Titan in the 4Kids TMNT series.  Mikey with his Superhero look.  Though the problem I came across with this, is a choice in the toy design.  Only learned after the toy was open.  One that is easy to fix, with a little glue.  It does have me curious why they decided not to have this one piece just connected.

I think both of these toys are fun.  I highly recommend this Baxter over the previous release for the Nickelodeon series.  And I recommend Turflytle to anyone who likes this costume in the show.  Both are good and worth picking up and a great addition to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Playmates Toy line.

These are from Playmates Toys.  The company that has stayed with the TMNT for the longest time, and helped make the Turtles to be what they are today.  Please do take the time to check their websites:

Could you maybe hook Turflytle's mask onto the tails of Mikey's bandanna? Maybe that would help it stay on. Awesome review by the way!

You would have to find away to hook it, I slide it down over where it has the slit to go, but it still flies right off his head so easy.  I really wish it came attached.  Still debating if I'm going to glue it down, someone at NYCC told me that is what he ended up doing.  While when I was a kid I would alter my toys, I try not to do that any more.  But in this case it's very tempting.

Good to see ya Donatello19! :D  Sorry I've been so quiet this year.
