TMNT 2014 Movie Fan Gatherings!

With the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Film coming to theaters on August 8th, some fans are already planning parties and meet ups across the country.  This is something I highly encourage.  Having friends there to share the moving going experience with is a great way to see this film.  To help with this idea we have started up a topic on TMNT-L to help people find TMNT fan gatherings and if their area is not listed they can add it.

Right now we got Detroit, Windsor, NYC and Hollywood.  These are only the beginning.  I am Michaelangelo on the forums, so this is something I’m working on putting together we did this for the 2007 movie as well.  By going as a group you can see the mix reactions from the fan base, as everyone sees something a little different about these films.  And it makes much more of a memory for your first time seeing this movie.

Not a member of TMNT-L?  It’s easy to join and it’s free.  TMNT-L is the longest online group that I know of for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Founded in summer of 1995, I joined in September that year.  Through TMNT-L I’ve met some of my best friends in the TMNT fandom, many of which I’ve had the honor to meet in person.  It’s a quiet group, but we have done some great things.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 is the first motion capture movie of the Ninja Turtles.  Produced by Michael Bay, the man behind the Transformer movie.  And pushing new areas for the Ninja Turtles as far as design and story goes.  This is not the first time we’ve seen major changes in the Turtles themselves.  With the Image Comics and Next Mutation series pushing new directions back in the 1990’s.  Can this movie stand out and become something fans will enjoy?  Or is this something that will be buried next to TMNT 3, Turtles Tunes and the Next Mutation with mass distaste and people slandering it?  Be one of the first to find out by going to the movie and seeing for yourself!

People have picked on me saying that I’m being nostalgia over this full thing, because I have given no reviews on trailers.  I just have to say that is funny, since I am one of those fans who have so far loved most every area of the Ninja Turtles.  Including IDW and the Nickelodeon cartoons, which are very recent.  I can sit down and sing along to Turtle Tunes and We Wish You a Turtles Christmas, and I’ve read all of the Image Comics.  I give every area of TMNT a fair chance, no matter the designs, who worked on it, or what year it came out.  I will be doing the same for the new movie.  Though I do promise some movie related video blogs coming soon.

I hope everyone who is willing to give this movie a fair chance can join a TMNT fan meet up and make this one of the most awesome moving going memories of the lifetime!  I personally will be seeing anyone who is willing to join us in Hollywood!

Will you be seeing the movie opening weekend?  All questions and comments welcomed below.

I will be going to see this movie opening night!  People that say it will suck but a lot of those same people said the same thing about the Nick show before it premiered and now most turtle fans are loving that show.  And its not like that show didn't make a lot of changes to the turtles either, such as giving the turtles three toes and having April be a teenager and part mutant-Kraang.  Every  version of the turles have changes made to them.  If they were all the same what would be the point of having different verions of the turtles in the first place?

I saw the new tmnt movie last night. it was awesome, but i had a problem with Rapheal. it made it seem like he was the main character and the toughest turtle because he survived rubble falling on him and he saved the other turtles numorous times. And Leonardo they made him seem weak.
