Review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The IDW Collection Hardcover Books

I recently purchased Volumes 1 and 2 (Volume 3 is in the mail) of IDW’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hardcover books. I collected many of the first issues as they were coming out when the series began, then went to trade paperbacks, then began reading them digitally with the occasional collected edition purchase or grabbing the single issues of a special event such as Bebop and Rocksteady Destroy Everything.

Kodak Moment #73

I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life.  A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen.  This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own.  I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo.  If it’s a part of events that has been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Today’s photo is from Katsucon 2008.

Rise of the TMNT : Michelangelo's Design

The internet exploded shortly after the designs for the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series was released in February.  As fans of all ages found themselves split down the middle upon the new look and feel for the Ninja Turtles, as there’s no question that this is a road they’ve never been on before.  I tried to write one story that would include my thoughts on the Facebook Live, designs, show overall and even the toys.  But it got long and hard to write, let alone read.  Which brings me here, where I’m going to give a short write up about each of the things revealed about “Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”.  Let’s talk about Michelangelo and his new design.

BBO : TMNT Hero Clix 8

There’s a lot of products that come out these days as blind bags.  These are toys that you never know which one of the collection you’re going to get till you open it.  For me, it’s a collectors worse nightmare cause you end up buying the same toy over and over looking for the entire collection.  Though I would be lying, if I say it’s not fun opening the bag.  Almost like opening a present, with the excitement build up to see what’s next.  So I decided to film blind bag openings to share with all of you.  This weekly video will be short opening of bling bag toys.  This first set of blind bags to be shared is the “Hero Clixs” Limited edition Heroes in a Half Shell Series II.

Let Me Introduce Myself

My 5th birthday party. Donatello cake compliments of my wonderful grandmother. As you can guess by me being a contributor for this website, I am a huge Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan. The turtles have been a part of my life since I was a child. I’m 32, so that was in the late 80s early 90s during the height of the TMNT popularity.

Everything Has Its Time and Place

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a Turtles’ fan and for almost every stage in my life, there has been a series running for me to enjoy. Like most people born in the 80s, I was raised on the 1987 cartoon. As a preteen, I rushed home after school to watch The Next Mutation’s attempt at a live-action show (still a guilty pleasure for sure). I was overjoyed when our thirst was quenched by the underrated 2003 Fox cartoon. For five years, I religiously watched every episode of the 2012 Nickelodeon series. And while I have my reservations about some of the designs for the new 2018 Nick series, I’m very hopeful to see new life breathed into the franchise.
