Going through Target I found a new Ninja Turtle book sitting on the shelf. I know I often review things like cartoons, comics and toys though it has been a long time since I reviewed a book. So I picked this up, on the cover it says “Two Books in One!” as it has Leonardo jumping forward with a sword. This image is used in the TMNT 2013 Calendar that came out. On the back side it had Donatello. Seeing this might be different from the other TMNT products I’ve been going through this year, I got this book and would like to share my review of “Mutant Origin: Leonardo/Donatello” with our readers.
As a child I did not listen to the radio very often. When I would hear music, it would be records or tapes of the other things my family enjoyed. The music I heard most was The Monkees, a band from the 1960s which was created for a TV show starring Micky Dolenz, Davy Jones, Peter Tork and Mike Nesmith. This became my favorite music growing up. I know most of their songs by heart, enjoy watching their tv show and more. In the 1980s, I started seeing them in concert and in the 90s we started to meet them face to face. With all the times I’ve met Davy, Micky and Peter, there was one Monkee who seemed very hard to see, Mike Nesmith. I just recently got to see him in his solo show, which is what I’d like to share with everyone today. Continue reading
Lights! Camera! Action! Ninja Turtles is now filming in Jones Beach State Park located in Wantagh, NY. On March 18th, 2012 Michael Bay stated that the Ninja Turtles “will be from an alien race”. Since that day the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle film has been in and out of the news, with fans protesting the aliens, “leaked” scripts getting into the hands of fans, and fears of the casting choice of Megan Fox. Though even with all of the uproar that has raised through the media of Ninja Turtle fans begging for this movie to be stopped the new Ninja Turtle movie has finally made it to filming. I’m going to take some time to go over what we know of the new Ninja Turtle film and share my thoughts.
News is just coming out about the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film left, right and center. With filming location and cast members. This is the sort of the thing that people have been waiting for and excitement is filling the air on the front of the new Ninja Turtle film. Of course the first acting news for the film went to Megan Fox being brought in as a leading lady of the movie. Now we’ve got news of who the four Turtles are and of the first filming location. So let’s dive into this news and take a look at who is in the cast for the “Ninja Turtles” June 2014 Movie.
News broke out that went around yesterday for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie produced by Michael Bay. On his blog he wrote the simple line of “TMNT: We Are Bringing Megan Fox Back Into The Family” So this bit of news jumped all around, with people jumping to the conclusion that she is going to be “April O’Neil”. The fact that she is going to be April or not is just rumor for now. Of course that would be the leading female role in the film, so please note that until further notice of being confirmed as April, this is just a rumor. Here is my thoughts on this subject.
Since 2005, I have been going to Youmacon, an Anime Con in Detroit, Michigan. Youmacon is one of the largest fan gatherings in Detroit, with bands, voice actors, artists, and so much more. It’s a place for cosplayers, gamers, and shoppers to gather. Some of the guests are even connected to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which makes this one of my favorite events in Michigan. This year’s convention had a handful of amazing people, so I’d like to share my review of Youmacon 2012.
Every year people go over and reflect the events at the end of the year. Our good and bad times shine at us as how we’re going to remember that year. Will this be a year that we will miss or a year that could not have ended soon enough? Each person has a different answer to that question as we all lead much different adventures from each other. Here is my overview of 2012 for Cowabunga Corner.
Welcome to episode 5 of Cowabunga Corner Season 4. In this episode I share my thoughts on the 3rd TMNT Magazine that came out. This is a series of reviews that I’m doing through Cowabunga Corner about the old TMNT Magazines. These magazines can not be found in stores anymore, though is a part of TMNT history that fans use to enjoy every season.
In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle history there has often been the promise of a new movie, with it falling through in the end. This past year a lot of talk has been going on about the new film, which was originally promised for 2011, as 2011 rolled around we were told it was going to be released in 2012 and then it got pushed to 2013. When people came to me asking for my thoughts about the film my main response stood at “I’m more excited about the new cartoon series by Nickelodeon in fall 2012.” I also told people “I don’t get my hopes up about movies, until I see the movie in filming stages.”. So was I surprised when I heard that the new Ninja Turtle Film is on hold?
