Review: Lexington Comic Con 2015

One of the things that I enjoy most through the year is going to different conventions, meeting new guests and fellow fans.  I usually plan my conventions by the guest list, to make sure the event has something of interest, next I look at the location to see if friends can meet up and last I look at the events to see what is offered to do, so the cost just is not meant for a big dealer room.  Once all those line up to match my personal interest I decide if I’m going or not.  Lexington Comic Con this year fell into the batch of conventions that I wanted to go too.  With both their guest list and location working out well for me, I knew this would be a fun weekend.  Only one problem…

Review: Midwest Media Expo

Conventions are one of my favorite things to do.  It takes you out of the stress for a weekend and places you somewhere that you can meet and hang out with people that enjoy the same stuff as you do.  Be this in your backyard or across the globe, conventions are like a second home to those who go.  Conventions usually start really small and have to work their way up, though in Michigan we got a new one called “Midwest Media Expo” which road the success of Youmacon to make it the largest first year event in Michigan.  I was at a guest at this convention and will love to share my review of a great weekend in Detroit.

MME2014 Black Nerd Comedy Panel

Midwest Media Expo is a new event in Detroit which had a lot of great panels going on, with fun guests.  A guest I got to spend a lot of time talking with, was Andre from “Black Nerd Comedy”.  He got a panel on Saturday night which was a blast.  Here I show an edited down version of his panel, cutting a few things with reason.  This is a fun panel, with a lot of laughs and his introduction the Michigan drink called “Faygo”.  Check out the “Black Nerd Comedy” Panel!

Review: Toy Fair Day 2

Toy Fair 2014 was a big event that offered a lot of cool stuff.  The second day kept us just as busy going around as the first day.  It started off very early as Mattel was doing a Press panel that went over their new lines of toys for 2014.  We also had a handful of other interesting things going on, that got Miki and I to pack up and walk over there early.  Check in was easy and we got a press kit, before heading into the panel.
