Kodak Moments #19

I got hundreds to thousands of photos through my life.  A lot of which would match up to stories here on Cowabunga Corner, but for one reason or another they are not chosen.  This does not mean that these photos are not worth sharing and do not hold stories of their own.  I would like to keep sharing what I can here on the site, so whenever I can I will share a photo and a story to go along with the photo.  If it’s a part of events that have been shared here, we will link back to the stories of the events themselves as well.  Hope everyone enjoys.  Today’s photo is school photo.

Movie Review: High School

Many different type of movies come out through the year and I find myself usually more into the action, adventure, superhero, or animated features.  To be fair, when I receive a screening pass, I will go to it and just give it a try even if the trailer does not hold my attention. Sometimes I get surprised, like Battleship where I went in not expecting much and came out so thrilled with the fact that I saw the movie.   This was one of those pictures where I went in not sure about it, when I told people I got tickets for this movie the biggest reaction is was “what movie?”  The movie is “High School”.

Intro to "The Shape of a Turtle"

Hey everyone, coming soon to Cowabunga Corner is a fanfic I wrote back when I was still in High School, 1996 through 1997. I mainly wrote this throughout the day at school and copying it onto the computer when I got home. What gave me the idea of doing this story was making a fanfic that would crossover with some characters that I created back in 1991, "The Shapers".

1991 Turtles at School

Every year for my birthday back when I was in elementary school, my mom would bring cupcakes for the full class.  Though only one of those times did it really stand out as it was during the best school year of my life.  I’ve already shared how I was bullied in school.  Well, in the sixth grade my mom moved me to another school, sadly I was only in this school for one year, Harding Elementary, with my teacher Mr. Aspinwall.

Friend Memories #1

I’ve written about bullies and shared some of the bad stuff that I’ve been through.  Though while it’s easy to write and complain about people, sometimes we forget to cherish those that we have.  So I’m going to take time and do write ups about friends that have come into my life, who I still know and hang out with to this day.  These people were able to see through the lies and cruelty of those others around us, and get to know me for who I am.  I’m going to start with one girl who in 1991 decided to sit next to me in our science class.

History of being Bullied

Growing up with bullies was never an easy thing.  Though there was one thing that I realized at a very young age, I never wanted to hurt any of these bullies.  Yes, they did hurt me a lot.  Though it wasn’t in my nature to think of hurting them back.  I just wanted the fights to end.

A tale of long ago

Bullies. A thing that is everywhere you go, even the internet has them, they’re known as trolls.  Everyone has their own stories of these people who pick fights just for fun, or to try and be the cool one.  Though in reality, it’s their own way of expressing how much they hate themselves.  They take their feeling and lash it onto others thinking it will make them feel better.  I have a lot of stories from my past of bullies and I’ll like to share one with you all today.

Movie Review: Foot Loose 2011

A remake of another 1980’s movie, “Footloose” is coming to the theaters this month.  I’ve had the chance to get a sneak peek at this movie, and wanted to share my thoughts.  While I know I saw the original version of this movie at some point in my life, it’s not something fresh on my mind so this review is about the new film only.  A film that I felt they did really good on.

A Gift of Love, Remembering My Grandmother

Caring. Thoughtful. Wise. Inspirational. These are a few words that I could use to describe my grandmother. I’m sure everyone has someone in their life that they can give a lot of credit to for who they turned out to be in life. For me, I have a few people who helped me find my way through life. Today, I’d like to talk about one of those people, one who helped me not fall into depression through my childhood with the terrifying events that I would go through at school.
